Assistant Professor (Neonatology), Department of Paediatrics and Child Health Department: Paediatrics and Child Health Entity: Medical College Location: Karachi, Pakistan Introduction: The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH, Karachi is committed to providing state-of-the-art clinical services to children. It imparts high-quality undergraduate, postgraduate, and subspecialty training along with providing excellent research opportunities. In addition to the general paediatric and subspecialty outpatient clinics, the inpatient set-up consists of a paediatric ward comprising of 84 beds including 15 bedded high dependency unit. There is an NICU comprising of 24 beds and a 12 bedded Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities: You will have an independent consultant status and will be expected to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities along with clinical responsibilities in the patient care areas. You will also be expected to participate in the quality improvement and other department initiatives. Requirements: You must have completed a structured postgraduate training programme in Paediatrics from a reputable institution, completed fellowship training in Neonatology and possess FCPS, FRCPCH, MRCPCH, American Boards or equivalent qualification in the relevant field. Any post-fellowship relevant experience will be considered as an added advantage. You should have also demonstrated scholarship through research, publications and/or contribution to education along with major contributions in two or more papers in peer-reviewed journals. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
