JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Indianapolis is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry to begin in 2026. This faculty member will contribute to our vibrant undergraduate program by teaching courses in General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Instrumentation, and other departmental needs. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring undergraduate students in research, and maintaining a collaborative academic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field (completed by start date)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and operate laboratory instruments
  • Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and a student-centered approach
  • Proven research experience with a record of (or strong potential for) peer-reviewed publications
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, contributing effectively to departmental goals
