Allen University is seeking applicants to fill a full-time position at the rank of assistant professor beginning August 2025. Responsibilities include teaching first year and upper division courses relevant to the applicant’s field of research. Candidates with a background in Criminal Justice or Criminology are particularly encouraged to apply. The position also requires advising students on a regular basis during the semester, during formal registration and serving on university committees. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have completed a terminal degree in Criminal Justice, a J. D. or a related field by July 1, 2025, and/or a master’s degree in criminal justice or criminology. The normal teaching load is 5 classes in the Fall semester and 5 classes in the Spring semester. Applicants should be able to teach daytime, evening, on-ground, and online classes. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with the experience of the applicant.
