POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Environmental or Civil Engineering or closely related field. Candidates should have the ability to teach courses focused on areas such as sustainable water/wastewater treatment design, environmental water quality, modeling environmental systems. Additional courses in the candidates area(s) of expertise would also be included. Juniata College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise and scholarly interests in Civil or Environmental Engineering. These areas should include (but not be limited to) environmental water quality, water/wastewater treatment, modeling wastewater treatment and water distribution systems, biosolids treatment, bioremediation, and aquatic chemistry. The position requires a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level, integrating service and research, and scholarship focused on the institution’s educational mission. The position will be housed in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering.
