JOB SUMMARY

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, tenure track faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Security in the Department of Information Systems and Security with a preferred start date of August 2026. These are nine-month contracted positions. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A doctorate, or the foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Management Science, or a related discipline, is required.
    NOTE: Required degree must be earned by start date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants with a doctorate degree earned from an AACSB accredited college/school.
  • Record of prior teaching experience (in-person, online, or hybrid courses).
  • Documentation of FinTech teaching.
  • Record of research accomplishments.
Responsibilities
  • Teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in areas such as FinTech innovation, digital payments, blockchain technologies, AI applications in finance, financial cybersecurity, and related topics.
  • Research and scholarship in information systems.
  • Professional service to the Department, College, and University.
  • The standard teaching load is 3/3 but is negotiable and can be reduced to 3/2 or 2/2 based on research productivity. Coles College flexibly allows summer support for new faculty for up to 3 years.
    Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
