We are looking for one or two highly motivated and dynamic assistant professor(s) for a four-year position to commence 1 May 2025.
The position(s) covers research within large animal translational cardiology with strong collaborations between basic scientists and human clinicians. A minor teaching commitment for veterinary students is also expected.
Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences contributes – through education, research and dissemination within the field of veterinary clinical sciences – to the training and education of veterinarians in Denmark and to advancing evidence-based veterinary clinical practice. The department has a staff of approximately 275 employees, 40 of which are faculty members and the remaining clinical hospital staff including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, animal caretakers, laboratory technicians and other other staff.
The department hosts strong and internationally recognized research groups in veterinary clinical and translational sciences. Based on these, we want to set a new standard for cross-disciplinary and translational research, education and innovation within animal health and disease.
It is our ambition to be among the best public workplaces in Denmark. The culture of the department is typical Scandinavian: a flat organizational structure with a tradition for close collaboration on all levels, where employees can expect openness, mutual respect, and sharing of ideas, resources, and competencies.
