POSITION SUMMARY
The University of Southern Indiana’s Management and Information Sciences Department, housed in the Romain College of Business, is excited to invite applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management to begin Spring or Fall 2026.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Management from an AACSB accredited school. Doctoral candidates will be considered if the terminal degree will be completed by the end of their first year of employment. If employment starts in August 2026, terminal degree must be completed by the end of July 2027. Additionally, candidates must be qualified as Scholarly Academic (SA) according to Romain College qualifications standards. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to effective teaching and student success.

The successful candidate will engage in dynamic teaching, quality research, and service. The standard teaching load for a tenure-track faculty member in the Romain College is three courses per semester, with possible opportunities for additional teaching in the summer, if desired. The teaching load may include a variety of courses, ranging from lower-division courses such as Introduction to Business and Survey of Management to upper-level major-specific courses in leadership, human resources, or other areas fitting the successful candidate’s expertise and departmental needs. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of scholarship leading to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals and engage in service to the college, university, and beyond.
