Assistant Professor of Modern European History
Southeastern Oklahoma State University invites applications for a Regular Full-time, Tenure Track, Assistant Professor of History.
Candidates should have strong, broad training in Modern European History and be prepared to offer a variety of courses: Contemporary European History, Nineteenth Century European History, Eighteenth Century European History, Modern World Civilization as well as other specific European courses listed in the undergraduate courses beginning August 2025. Candidates should also be prepared to teach both halves of the US History survey courses for General Education. Teaching duties are mainly face-to-face on the Durant Campus five days per week but also might include some online courses. Southeastern faculty members participate in Departmental Meetings, write assessment reports, and perform service to the department, university, and community. Ph.D. in European History is required, but candidates who will earn their degree by December 2025 will be considered if they provide documentation.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications an experience. The preferred start date is August 1, 2025 and may require multiple campus assignments as well as varied time and delivery methods.
