SUMMARY:

Aventure Staffing is supporting a local university in their search for an Assistant Professor of Psychology. We are seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology to begin in August 2025. This is a 9-month appointment. The area of expertise is open.

Candidates for any specialization should be prepared to teach Introductory Psychology, Professional Development, and Research Methods. In addition to these core courses, individuals may also be assigned courses specific to their area of expertise, such as:

• Developmental Specialization: Developmental Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychology, Adulthood and Aging
• Clinical Specialization: Abnormal Psychology, Theories of Personality, Forensic Psychology
• Behavioral Specialization: Principles of Learning, Behavioral Interventions, Single-Subject Research Methods

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Ph.D. or the ability to show evidence of the planned receipt of the degree before the Fall 2025 semester.
• Evidence of strong instructional effectiveness, and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusiveness.

The duties include a 24-hour teaching load, advising psychology majors, and supervision of undergraduate research projects.
There is potential for the candidate to serve as departmental chair.
