Description
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg invites applications for a full-time appointment-stream position in Accounting at the rank of Assistant Professor or Instructor to begin August 2026. Candidates with doctorates are preferred but must have a Master’s degree, e.g., an MBA or similar, with specialization and experience in Accounting. A successful record of undergraduate teaching experience is strongly preferred. Pitt-Greensburg values candidates with a commitment to in-person undergraduate teaching, campus and community service, and experience in working with diverse groups. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach a 4/4 load (typically 12 credits per semester) with student advising duties. The position will be responsible for instruction of the core introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses in the major including Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Tax, Standard Costs, Accounting Information Systems, Senior Project, and other required and elective courses. Expertise and specialization for upper-level courses are open but experience and expertise in Advanced and Cost Accounting and Taxation are preferred. Additionally, candidates should be prepared to devote time to service and professional development as part of their appointment.
