POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The School of Engineering at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of Mechanical Engineering (Solid Mechanics). We are looking for individuals who will establish and lead a world-class, competitive research program in Computational and Experimental Solid Mechanics and AI-based Materials Engineering. The successful candidate will focus on high-performance computing, numerical methods, and applied mathematics for solid mechanics. The anticipated start date for this appointment is September 1, 2025, or another mutually agreed-upon date in the academic year 2025.
