JOB SUMMARY:

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Mercy University (NY) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Computer Science and Cybersecurity. For tenure-track positions, applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related discipline by the appointment date; for the multi-year contract position, candidates with advanced degrees in these fields will be considered.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree required

Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate Computer Science and Cybersecurity classes in programming, database, computer systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning, or data security. Faculty will also be expected to teach at multiple campuses of Mercy University, based upon the needs of the department. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related discipline by the appointment date. Professional and/or teaching experience in computer networking, operating systems, wireless networks, and cybersecurity. Experience in leading students in national or regional cybersecurity defense/offense competitions is a plus.
