This position will be located at 66 Clinic Dr. New Britain, CT 06051. Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-8:00pm.    Compensation Range: The annual salary range for this position starts at $51,000 Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. CMHA also takes into consideration our benefits and paid time off package to provide a well-rounded and competitive approach to the applicant’s overall compensation.   Position Summary: The Assistant Program Coordinator assists the Program Coordinator in overseeing all program functions/operations in accordance with policies, procedures, and external regulatory agencies, including but not limited to DPH, JCAHO, DMHAS, DCF and Grant/Payer Sources.   Essential Responsibilities: * Provides administrative supervision to all staff to ensure appropriate delivery of services to all clients on site and when needed on-call. * Assists in conducting assessments of all referrals to the program for clinical appropriateness and risk by reviewing all referral information as delegated by the Program Coordinator. * Participates in and documents staff meetings weekly to ensure timely and accurate communication related to client care, facility cleanliness and safety, and other matters. * Oversees day-to-day operations and provides individual and/or group activities to ensure program coverage as indicated by program schedule and compliance with regulatory and payer sources. * Conducts primary case load responsibilities and all associated documentation as per agency policies and procedures. Responsible for a small caseload of clients. * Participates, as a CMHA representative, in all necessary internal and external meetings that pertain to clinical care, compliance and client activity. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree in a Behavioral Health related field (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, alcohol and drug counseling) or relevant coursework preferred. * Successful experience in the provision of clinical care of clients with severe/prolonged mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders or equivalent, preferably a minimum of 1-3 years. * Successful experience in a management/leadership role of direct care providers to clients with severe/prolonged mental illness or equivalent, preferably a minimum of 1-3 years. * Must have valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a public service license.  * Certified in PMT training, First Aid, and CPR.    We care about our employees by offering benefits that strike a harmonious work-life balance.
