Description The Assistant Program Director is responsible for the supervision of counseling staff, while facilitating all program activities. Supervises and participates in primary counselor duties to clients and their families including screening and intake, client and family orientation, development of treatment plan; crisis intervention; and group individual sessions. In the absence of the Program Director may assume leadership duties. Requirements Licensed by the State of Connecticut (LPC,LMFT, or LCSW) Three years of professional counseling experience; or a combination of a degree in a related field and professional experience Must be bilingual (English- Spanish) Two years minimum supervisory experience Evidence of knowledge of the dynamics of chemical dependency rehabilitation, resources available to the chemically dependent, and appreciate of the self-help groups. Must have appreciation of culturally relevant treatment and demonstrate willingness for the provision of the commitment to such services. Must be a growth-oriented person willing to set and work toward professional goals. Must demonstrate appreciation and willingness to develop continuing skills towards multicultural competency within a behavioral health setting. Must have driver’s license and motor vehicle.
