POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The job of Clinical Supervisor is done for the purpose of providing clinical supervision and training services to assist in meeting the social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs of students in Marin County public schools. The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical oversight, mentorship, and training to graduate student mental health interns in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) regulations, and in accordance with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) regulations for Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) candidates. This role is responsible for supervising, evaluating, and supporting school-based interns as they develop their clinical skills while meeting licensure and ethical guidelines. The Clinical Supervisor will also design and implement a didactic training program to enhance interns’ professional growth and ensure a comprehensive learning experience. Additionally, the Supervisor functions to provide all students with equitable access to developmentally and culturally appropriate, and comprehensive counseling services focused on personal and social development to increase student success, and coordinate school site wellness programming.

CERTIFICATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in job-related areas with an emphasis in Counseling, Psychology, Professional Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work.
  • Valid California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) issued license in one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and/or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
  • Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) in School Social Work, School Counseling, and/or School Psychology.
  • Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired in social work, counseling, school psychology, or closely related field; working with students in grades K-12 in a public-school setting; in addition, a minimum of 2 years’ experience post-licensure providing clinical supervision, and completion of continuing education requirements to meet oversight of interns/associates clinical supervision responsibilities.
  • Hold a National Provider Identifier Number (NPI) or acquire within a designated time frame.
  • Hold Ordering, Referring, and Prescribing (ORP) status or acquire within a designated time frame.
  • Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
  • Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability
  • Maintain Certificates and/or Licenses
  • Measles Vaccination
  • Pre-Employment Fingerprinting
