OVERVIEW:

Merrick & Company is looking for an experienced Assistant Project Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide direct involvement with a project accounting team, the project teams, as well as other members of the accounting department. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and teamwork skills. We are seeking a professional who is adept in communicating, discussing, and resolving accounting and invoice related problems with the team, striving to correct issues in a timely manner. Must have the ability to prioritize taasks while balancing speed with quality of results while working in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with seven (7)+ years Accounting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to calculate and analyze numerical data utilizing, but not limited to the following functions; Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and If Statements.
  • Experience in invoicing, billing and project accounting
  • Highly motivated, and able to work independently. Detail oriented, organized, and disciplined. Friendly, courteous, and positive in nature.
  • Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience supervising a team.
  • Prior experience working at an Architecture/Engineering firm.
  • Local candidates are strongly desired.
