WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
M Group Water are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Project Engineer to work on our Southern Water Contract in Brighton. As an Assistant Project Engineer, you will be enabling projects to be delivered to time, cost, specification, client needs and the needs and regulations of other stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Project Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical and civil design of wastewater network solutions e.g. - design of new pumping systems, equipment and pipeline sizing & arranging.
You’ll be responsible for preparing and analysing key design options for wastewater projects, ensuring alignment with the Project Basis of Design and mitigating risks and gaps. Performs detailed design calculations to size mechanical, hydraulic, and building services equipment. Oversees process outputs including P&IDs and datasheets, collaborating with the Principal Designer to develop innovative solutions. Conducts engineering evaluations and field inspections, identifying improvements and ensuring environmental compliance in partnership with Design Engineers and the Southern Water Enabling Team. Maintains comprehensive project documentation and proactively escalates issues affecting time, cost, or quality. Promotes excellence in health and safety, delivering safe designs in accordance with CDM Regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
