We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Assistant Project Manager for this 12 Month Maximum Term Full Time role based in our stylish Robina Office on the Gold Coast. Support the Project and Construction team by acquiring, distributing and co ordinating information through the construction phase and manage the client experience through the Construction process of this Community Housing Limited project in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Business Development Lead - Qld, your responsibilities will include:
- Aid where required with maintaining Construction Programs on MS Project for all projects
- Understand the stages of Construction ensure relevant stages are included in Microsoft Project
- Monitor project progress and update your Project Manager on any variable tasks
- Attending construction meetings
- Undertake the meeting minutes to accurately translate to reports
- Notice of likely delay (NOLD) and Extensions of time (EOT) are issued, followed up and closed out
- Establish understanding of the relevant contract, final budget, program, drawings, scope of works and specifications. to ensure the contract scope is fulfilled
- Escalate any major issues to program
- Ensuring project lifecycle is delivered on time, to budget and as per the client specification
- Make sure stakeholder management and reporting are completed
- Supporting the project team with claims and financial management
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the Metricon job workflow, specifications and job details; and
- Complete handover and quality assurance.

The successful candidate will have:
- Qualifications in Construction Management or a residential construction-based background an advantage
- Ideally have experience working on an Alternative Housing / Social Housing Projects
- Strong program management skills (advanced level) in the MS Projects
- A high level of organizational and time management skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Substantial experience (5+ years) in the building industry in a volume builder new home environment preferably covering both pre-site and construction; and
- Be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of building regulations, contracts and administration procedures is essential.
