JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate Project Manager (APM) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, architects, Sub contractors, and clients to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. You’ll assist in managing schedules, budgets, subcontractor communications, and project documentation across all phases of construction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in construction or engineering who is eager to grow into a leadership role in project management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or Primavera P6
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Basic understanding of budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
  • Knowledge of scheduling techniques (Critical Path Method, Gantt charts, etc.)

SOFT SKILLS

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, solution-driven attitude
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow through independently

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to travel to job sites within the region as needed
  • Valid driver’s license (if site travel is required)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
  • 1–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project management (internship experience may be considered)
  • Familiarity with construction processes, building codes, and project lifecycle phases
  • Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, or construction consultants is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and progress reports
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure timely execution of work
  • Track and manage RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, change orders, and other project documentation
  • Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Participate in site meetings, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
  • Help ensure that all permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements are obtained and met
  • Assist with procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Maintain and organize all project files, drawings, and documents
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranty tracking, and final documentation
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external partners
  • Identify and escalate project risks, delays, or issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner
