THE POSITION

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, budgeting, and execution of electrical construction projects. This role works closely with Estimators, Superintendents, and Foremen, and plays a key part in the conceptual development of projects, overseeing organization, scheduling, and implementation. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical construction practices, project administration, and team coordination. Strong time management and the ability to manage both personal and team responsibilities are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in project management within the electrical mechanical, plumbing, contracting.
  • Bachelors in Construction Management and technology or related degree, preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience assisting with electrical projects ranging from $1M to $10M.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and roles.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar).
  • Solid knowledge of industry codes, safety regulations, and construction standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support project teams through all phases of execution, from planning to close-out, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Allocate and manage resources, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Track project budgets, monitor expenses, and support cost-control efforts to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively develop and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients by providing regular updates, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Manage client expectations and respond effectively to change requests or scope adjustments.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services while upholding quality and safety standards.
  • Implement and uphold quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including progress reports, financial tracking, change orders, and other key records.
  • Prepare and present regular project status updates for internal and external stakeholders.
