ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client, a Healthcare specialty General Contractor is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support project execution across multiple construction or engineering projects. The APM will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or management in the construction or contracting industry.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and cost control preferred.
Responsibilities

They are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (on-site) for a large scale, high profile project in South Jersey. The ideal candidate has estimating experience and is able to work with the on-site team to complete micro-scheduling, procurement, buy-outs, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Track project milestones, budgets, schedules, and deliverables using the Project Tracking System (PTS).
  • Assist in the preparation of bid packages, subcontractor agreements, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely project progress.
  • Monitor job site performance, conduct quality control checks, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain and update project documentation including daily reports, meeting minutes, and schedules.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and assist with conflict resolution as needed.
  • Participate in site visits, project meetings, and coordination sessions with clients and teams.
  • Analyze project performance metrics and prepare progress reports for senior management.
