Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Project Manager to join our Civil Infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and analyze project reports, including status updates, cost forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Support the procurement process, including vendor selection and contract management
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize project outcomes
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality
  • Assist in change management processes and document control
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in civil infrastructure projects, with a focus on roads, bridges, or utilities
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, techniques, and best practices
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record in project planning, scheduling, and cost control
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE
  • Understanding of contract management and procurement processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within the UAE as required
