We are looking for a proactive and driven Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic construction consultancy, working within our Residential team to support project delivery of large scale remediation projects. The Assistant Project Manager role consists of assisting in the delivery of project management activities on various size projects in the residential sector. Responsibilities Prepare documents such as project briefs, PEPs, risk registers, and Gateway/Governance papers Set up QA systems, project directories, templates and instruction logs Arrange meetings and workshops; prepare agendas and minutes Produce dashboards, monthly reports and meeting schedules Support procurement strategy development, tendering processes and value engineering reviews Perform post-contract duties, issue certificates, manage change control and maintain compliance with building contracts Conduct site visits, health & safety inspections, support snagging, handover and defect management processes Support with project escalation processes and controls Always take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self and others by working within the Health and Safety policy and procedures Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact Any other duties as reasonably required of the role Qualified in relevant construction related degree Previous experience within the construction industry and commercial awareness of the construction process Achieved or actively working towards Chartership Technical knowledge in all main areas of Project Management A client focused outlook with an ambition to deliver projects meeting client objectives Ability to deliver a small to medium size project with minor support from senior staff Awareness of CDM and construction Health & Safety Confident and proactive approach to work and self-development Ability to effectively manage own time, tasks and meet deadlines Ability to competently support team members Ability to build professional relationships quickly and effectively Attention to detail and highly organised Excellent communication skills both oral and written Joining Fulkers means more than just joining a great team — it’s an exciting journey filled with rewarding benefits! 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), plus an extra paid day off for your birthday and Christmas shutdown Option to buy or carry over up to 5 additional holiday days annually Private health cover from day one Enhanced maternity, paternity leave Charitable volunteer day Agile working policy Annual discretionary bonus and salary review Company pension scheme Employee Assistance Program Cycle-to-work scheme Access to a wellbeing app and online learning platform Career development, chartership support and training opportunities Internal recruitment referral bonus scheme Fulkers Bailey Russell is now a Certified B Corporation, meeting high standards of social and environmental performance.
