Description

We are looking for a Assistant Project Manager (APM) that has experience in the construction industry. The assistant project manager plays a critical support role in the successful delivery of construction projects. The APM works under the supervision of the Project Manager (PM) and helps with planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of the project.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Experience: Internships or 2–3 years of experience in a related construction or project coordination role.
  • Project management tools (e.g., Procore & MS Project)
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/plan
Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Scheduling
  • Assist in developing project timelines and work schedules.
  • Help track progress against milestones.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain project documentation (contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.).
  • Prepare and update project reports for stakeholders.
  • Support the PM with meeting minutes and action items.
  • Budget & Cost Control
  • Monitor budgets, invoices, and payment applications.
  • Assist with cost tracking and change order management.
  • Support in preparing financial reports.
  • Procurement & Vendor Coordination
  • Help procure materials and services.
  • Coordinate delivery timelines with suppliers.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes and maintain logs.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Attend safety meetings and walkthroughs.
  • Report any incidents or risks to the PM.
  • Communication & Coordination
  • Liaise between stakeholders: clients, engineers, architects, and field staff.
  • Support coordination between office and field teams.
  • Attend and document project meetings.
  • Permits & Regulatory Compliance
  • Assist with obtaining permits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Track inspections and approvals.
