Assistant Project Manager Location: Haydock, St Helens (minimum of 2 days per week in the office) Cockermouth, Cumbria (minimum of 2 days per week in the office) Job type: Permanent / Temporary Contracted hours: Full time – 36hrs per week (we offer an option to condense full time hours into 4 days Monday – Thursday) / Part time About the role Overview of the role As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play an important role in supporting Delkia’s project delivery across the concept, design, planning, and execution of strategically important projects. Working within established project management frameworks, you will support the Project Manager in the coordination, commercial, and financial aspects of project delivery, helping to ensure successful outcomes. What you’ll be responsible for Your main responsibilities will include: · Support the delivery of assigned projects to agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets, working closely with project teams to ensure successful outcomes. · Assist with project planning and controls, including developing and maintaining schedules, monitoring progress against baselines, and tracking expenditure using Earned Value Management (EVM). · Contribute to tender submissions and bid activities from a project management perspective. · Support project governance and reporting, including preparing reports and presentations, organising meetings, and tracking actions and updates for stakeholders and senior management. · Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting day-to-day coordination and communication. · Maintain project documentation, ensuring records and deliverables are completed in line with agreed schedules and standards. · Assist in identifying and managing dependencies, assumptions, risks, and opportunities (DAREO), escalating issues and supporting mitigation actions where required. · Contribute to continuous improvement activities, including lessons learned and process enhancements across projects.
