Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer , a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
As the Assistant Project Manager , you will support the delivery and enhancement of the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) by managing project documentation, tracking progress, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful execution under the JP9101 project. The position is based onsite at Campbell Park, Canberra.

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

• Support the EL1 and Deputy Integrated Project Managers with project coordination and reporting.
• Maintain project documentation including plans, status reports, and risk registers.
• Monitor timelines, milestones, and budgets, recommending corrective actions when needed.

• Facilitate meetings, track action items, and engage with SMEs for technical input.Assist with procurement activities and ensure compliance with Defence policies.
