Job Description
We are now seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join us and play a key role assisting our clients in the transition to a low carbon energy future. The role will involve working in a dynamic and fast paced organisation and will afford the candidate the opportunity to work on strategic and innovative projects across all stages of delivery from concept to design and construction.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • You will have 3+ years relevant experience preferably with a construction / energy / engineering background.
  • Power system industry expertise, utilities / construction experience;
  • Knowledge of the industry, environment and context, experience working within a similar regulated utility environment;
  • Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team;

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Recognised qualification in energy efficiency / renewable energy.
  • Experience delivering renewable energy projects either onshore or offshore
  • Recognised accredited Project Management Professional (PMP) Qualification.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and assist with all aspects of project delivery;
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining project documentation, including Risk Register, Issue Register, Daily Log, Project schedules, Project Budgets and Governance approvals;
  • Ensuring that appropriate project controls are maintained and updated having regard to budgets, schedule, scope, quality risk and other performance indicators.
  • Assist with the tracking and updating of project control documents including budgets, schedules, risk logs, communications logs etc.
  • Identifying and managing internal and external project Stakeholders, ensuring regular and timely communications at all levels;
  • Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment;
  • Monitoring and documenting project progress and other performance indicators;
  • Preparing project reports, presentations, status updates, dashboards and briefing materials for Senior management.
  • Support the Senior Project Managers in continued improvement of processes and systems.
