ABOUT:

A well-established and reputable commercial construction firm is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of commercial projects, including office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) plays a key supporting role in the management of construction projects, working closely with Project Managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on budget, and to company quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the commercial construction field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in commercial construction projects
  • Familiarity with construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of assigned projects
  • Support communication between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Help monitor budgets, schedules, and contract compliance
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Assist with identifying and resolving project issues as they arise
  • Help ensure safety protocols and quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
