A premier multifamily real estate company is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their team for an exciting new 200-unit multifamily project in Boston, Massachusetts. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile development from groundbreaking through completion while advancing your career in multifamily construction management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of multifamily residential construction experience required
  • Strong understanding of multifamily development processes and construction methodologies
  • Proficiency with project management software and construction scheduling tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with projects of similar size and scope (150+ units)
  • Familiarity with Boston-area construction market and regulations
  • PMP or similar project management certification
  • Experience with multifamily financing and development processes

Responsibilities

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in overseeing all aspects of the development process, including:

  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors throughout all project phases
  • Monitoring project schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful delivery
  • Conducting regular site visits and inspections to track construction progress
  • Managing project documentation, permits, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Facilitating communication between internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with procurement processes and vendor management
  • Supporting problem-solving and issue resolution as challenges arise
  • Preparing project status reports and presentations for senior management
