Urban Ecospaces is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the delivery of a high-profile construction project at JFK Airport Terminal 1. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformative infrastructure program that’s redefining air travel for the 21st century.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of construction experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in architectural trade coordination or related architectural project roles.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience on aviation or airport projects.
  • Prior work on Port Authority of NY & NJ (PANYNJ) projects.
  • Familiarity with design-build project delivery methods.
  • Experience with cost tracking and project controls software.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

As an APM, you will work closely with the project management team to coordinate day-to-day construction activities, manage subcontractor deliverables, assist in design and document reviews, and ensure project milestones are met. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about building excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Project Manager in overseeing daily field operations, focusing on architectural trades.
  • Track project progress, support scheduling, and assist in maintaining overall project timeline.
  • Collaborate with design teams and subcontractors to resolve field issues and RFIs.
  • Participate in document control, submittal reviews, and quality assurance activities.
  • Assist in tracking and managing cost control items, including change orders and budget monitoring.
  • Ensure project compliance with client requirements.
