Reports To: Senior Project Manager / Operations Leadership
Employment Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
Compensation: $45,000-$55,000 Annually

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Lakeside’s projects across demolition, abatement, disposal, labor services, and concrete cutting. This position is designed as a developmental role, with training provided to advance into future management opportunities. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment. The Assistant Project Manager represents Lakeside professionally in all customer and employee interactions, promotes safety, and helps drive operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software and technology.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and safety protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access scaffolding, and work at various heights.
  • Ability to safely navigate uneven terrain, excavation areas, and active construction sites.
  • Frequent exposure to dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to wear and properly use required PPE, including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, respirators, and high-visibility vests.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel long distances to and from job sites, often for multiple hours per day.
  • Manual dexterity to operate small tools, computers, and job-related equipment as needed.
  • Visual and auditory capacity to identify hazards, communicate effectively, and ensure safety compliance on active jobsites.
