Responsibilities
  • Must possess a minimum of 2-5 years verifiable work experience as a site development, Underground/Water/Sewer estimator (preferably within the South Florida area)
  • Assists in the administration of the safety program, daily monitoring, pre-task planning, pre-con meetings.
  • Assures the quality control program by checking all work is being done per contract documents and owner expectations.
  • Assists in maintaining the As-Built records updated daily and providing, at the completion of the project, a clear set of drawings with all changes to the A/E to be part of the closeout documents.
  • Assists in the implementation and development of the plan and schedule of the work. This includes updated 3 week-look ahead, milestones schedule and project overall schedule.
  • Maintains an updated log of the products’ lead time needed in the project to incorporate into the project schedule. Identifies the ones affecting the critical path and push their submittal approval accordingly to avoid delays on the project.
  • Assists in the implementation of the Life Safety Plan in different phases of the project.
  • Assists in the implementation of Logistics Plan for each phase of the project.
  • Maintains updated log of all equipment, dumpster, materials, inventory on the trailers & office, inspections, field reports, etc.
  • Keeps record with photos and/or videos of the existing conditions of the project prior to start activities and through the project by recording the progress by areas of work and overall.
  • Helps create and distribute daily and weekly work plans to the project team, including schedules and logistics plans.
  • Attends and participates in all meetings with the customers providing updates on the status of construction progress. Assists on getting all the project site documentation on time prior to these meetings. This includes the meeting invite, meeting agenda, and meeting minutes.
  • Compiles and maintains all permits, testing, and inspections required for successful project completion and acceptance.
  • Assists in the constructability on the project by evaluating the existing project conditions and providing Request for Information (RFI) to the A/E & Owner to obtain approvals to proceed.
  • Assists in documenting any additional work not contemplated on the actual contract documents. Obtains approval from the Project Manager prior on proceeding on any extra work.
  • Assists in the implementation of the project site staging area by coordinating with the proper vendor and/or subcontractor to install the construction trailer office, temporary toilets, hand sanitizer stations, storage trailers, temporary fences, temporary signage, temporary life safety pathways, etc.
  • Provides liaison between project management, field engineering, estimating, and subcontractors to ensure construction complies with plans and specifications and company quality standards.
  • Keeps senior management informed while maintaining liaison with owner, architect, and design professionals as needed to ensure compliance to design intent and owner satisfactions. Facilitates discovery and correction of contract document “error and omissions” and problem solving.
  • Assists in planning the sequencing of work and determines manpower levels, material quantities and equipment requirements.
  • Takes lead on productivity issues and monitors work performance and efficiency of company employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedules are followed and the project is executed effectively.
  • Ensures compliance with all internal and external record keeping requirements, with particular emphasis on accurately reflecting hours worked and proper coding of activities performed on timecards.
  • Obtains and codes delivery tickets for all items delivered to the job site and expedites weekly to the Project Coordinator for processing.
  • Advises senior level management of potential problems, work interference, or schedule difficulties, while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts. Provide assistance to craft employees in resolving problems.
  • Maintains liaison with Site Operations Manager, Project Manager and other involved departments (i.e. pre-construction, accounting) as required, supporting construction schedule and timely delivery of required materials and equipment.
  • Responsible for all jobsite safety issues and concerns. Ensure implementation of or adherence to current safety programs and any recommendations made by the Safety Committee. Creates safety awareness throughout the jobsite and maintains OSHA required records. This also includes conducting daily jobsite walkthroughs to identify potential hazards, identifying methods to control or eliminate the hazards, ensuring employees engage in safe and healthful work practices, and ensuring employees receive safety and health training to do their work. Assist with jobsite Weekly Safety Meetings or Five-Minute Safety Talks. Maintains logs and documentation of trainings, inspections, injuries and illnesses, and other safety records. Participates in accident investigations, communicates all accidents to Human Resources and implements necessary corrective actions.
  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
  • Assists in preparing and providing all weekly project paperwork and daily logs via laptop. This includes any additional work and/or directive by the Owner. Any potential delays need to be registered.
  • If necessary for the jobsite, owns and properly uses all tools and equipment as specified on the list of tool requirements.
  • If necessary for the jobsite, provides hands on carpentry and labor as required by the Site Operations Manager.
  • Willingness to travel for extensive periods, as required.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager, and/or the Division Manager
