POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Project Manager will support senior project management staff in the successful planning, execution, and completion of mechanical contracting projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop project management skills while contributing to the success of a respected Milwaukee contractor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some knowledge of the construction/property management/HVAC/electrical industry preferred
  • 3 years of experience in mechanical contracting or construction industry preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various project sites in the Milwaukee area
Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project operations and administration
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and project progression
  • Review and process submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and files
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits
  • Help prepare project schedules, cost estimates, and progress reports
  • Monitor project budgets and assist with cost tracking
  • Support procurement and contract administration processes
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and internal team members
