ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER (ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION)

Servitek Electric Inc, an A and C-10 Contractor (www.servitekelectric.com), provides engineering and electrical solutions, and services a vast array of electrical equipment to local commercial, state, and federal customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work at Servitek . We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and passionate individual ready to learn and grow with our organization.
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager for our Norwalk, CA office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 to 5+ years relevant construction project management experience with progressive project responsibility. Commercial construction experience is a bonus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or Electrical Engineering, from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for field and project engineering, quality control, contract administration, shop drawing review, submittals, scheduling, and related support functions
  • Assist with equipment selection and rental coordination as well as material procurement
  • Coordinate and review drawings, submissions, specifications, changes and document control
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the project schedule and costing system
  • Prepare and track progress payments and estimates
  • Inventory control – monitoring and tracking
  • Working knowledge of the installation, maintenance, renovation, repair or removal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, CCTV, Street Lighting and Traffic Signal work or systems, whether overhead, underground, or on bridges, including dusk to dawn lighting installations and ramps for access to or egress from freeways.
  • Working knowledge of systems and components to control, monitor and communicate with pedestrian or vehicular traffic included but not limited to installation, modifications, removal of all Fiber Optic Video Systems and Fiber Optic Data Systems.
  • Working knowledge of the installation of boxes, components, fittings, fasteners, vaults, grounding, ground rods, ground clamps, lighting controls and cad welding.
  • Working knowledge of electrical principles and codes
