REQUIREMENTS

• Degree educated in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or similar)
• Previous experience working on infrastructure projects (rail, highways, utilities, aviation, etc.)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities
• Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join a leading consultancy’s Infrastructure team, working on some of the UK’s most ambitious projects.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in rail, highways, utilities, or aviation projects who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of major infrastructure programmes across the Midlands, working closely with clients, contractors and internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Project Managers in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects
• Conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking activities
• Assist in developing project plans, systems and processes
• Monitor project progress and performance indicators, preparing regular reports
• Track and document project changes and actions
• Prepare written communication materials, presentations and formal reports
• Liaise with clients, contractors and design teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Attend meetings, take minutes and support overall project governance
