Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial tenant improvement construction projects. This role assists the Project Manager in coordinating tasks, ensuring timelines are met, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a solid understanding of commercial tenant improvement construction processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial tenant improvement construction, project coordination, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and overseeing commercial tenant improvement construction projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
  • Conduct site visits to track quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Assist in resolving on-site issues and coordinating solutions with the construction team.
  • Maintain project documentation, including permits, contracts, and reports.
  • Communicate with consultants and clients and address concerns related to project timelines and construction activities.
  • Support budgeting and cost management efforts by tracking expenses and reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure all work aligns with company standards, local building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning efforts.
