Position Summary:
Tigua Inc. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in overseeing facilities maintenance operations at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Artesia, NM. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in coordinating day-to-day contract activities, supporting compliance, logistics, maintenance functions, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • The Assistant Project Manager shall support the Project Manager by exercising delegated authority to act on behalf of the Contractor in matters related to maintaining facility operations and services under the contract.
  • This delegated authority includes assisting with personnel supervision, employee training, purchasing, cost control measures, and ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of all Support Services.
  • The Assistant Project Manager shall be on-call and available at all times when not on duty to respond to operational issues as needed.
  • In the absence of the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager shall act as the primary on-site representative and point of contact for the Contractor.
  • The Contractor shall provide the Contracting Officer (CO), in writing, the name and contact information of the Assistant Project Manager as the designated representative when the Project Manager is unavailable.
  • The Assistant Project Manager shall be physically present at the FLETC site during all times when contract work is being performed.
  • During normal duty hours, the Assistant Project Manager shall be available within thirty (30) minutes to meet with Government personnel designated by the Contracting Officer to discuss any contractual issues.
  • After normal duty hours, the Assistant Project Manager shall be available on-site within two (2) hours if required.
  • The Assistant Project Manager must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently; must possess relevant experience aligned with the scope of the contract; must be physically able to perform assigned duties; and must be free of communicable diseases.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Facilities Management, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting project or contract operations, preferably on federal contracts.
  • Familiarity with facilities maintenance, janitorial, logistics, or related service functions.
  • Basic knowledge of federal compliance and service contract oversight is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced, contract-driven environment.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting operations at a federal facility.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or coursework in project management.
  • Prior experience working with subcontractors or vendor coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager in executing all contract requirements related to facilities operations and support services.

  • Building and equipment maintenance (preventive and corrective)
  • Janitorial and custodial services
  • Landscaping and grounds maintenance
  • Logistics and warehouse operations
  • Environmental and biohazard waste support
  • Oversight of service subcontractors and vendors
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and budget status; escalate issues to the Project Manager as needed.
  • Participate in monitoring KPIs and generating reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal and safety regulations, including CMMC and OSHA standards.
  • Provide support in preparing documentation for proposal efforts and video/oral presentation materials.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and manage action items on behalf of the Project Manager.
  • Contribute to a safety- and customer-focused culture across all service lines.
