YOUR ROLE

Community Resilience is a strategic priority for Multicultural NSW. The Community Resilience team leads pioneering policies and proven programs that aim to inspire the people of NSW to foster social cohesion, stand united against divisive forces, and come together in times of need. The Assistant Project Officer (Community Resilience) supports policy and program implementation through administrative and other support to the team to ensure it delivers on its strategic priorities and commitments. In an increasingly uncertain world, the role is a unique opportunity to support the challenging and meaningful work of Multicultural NSW in building social cohesion and community resilience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As part of the Community Resilience team, you will:

  • Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, in line with approved project plans;
  • Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to ensure the effective delivery of projects;
  • Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning;
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues;
  • Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support project management delivery.

You’ll work as part of a team of talented, dedicated public servants who are passionate about making a positive difference through their work. You’ll be working in a team environment and you will assist the project team, Manager and Associate Director to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved. You’ll work at the Multicultural NSW office in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available.
