Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

As the Assistant Project Officer, Water Management, you will play a key role within VAMT overseeing the review and resolution of water charges and disputes. This includes liaising with water authorities, managing investigations and reporting on water related matters.
Your work will contribute to a fair and transparent system that supports equitable access to housing services. You will be responsible for the oversight of the end-to-end processing of water charge issues, ensuring Homes NSW operations teams are supported with accurate and timely information.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide project and operational support, including monitoring, reviewing and managing disputes in relation to water charges.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders including Water Authorities.
  • Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant to water charges issues, policies and practices to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding water charge status and implementation issues.
  • Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating and preparing responses to stakeholders and housing services teams to support water management delivery.

You will be expected to navigate a dynamic high-volume environment balancing competing priorities and tight deadlines. Success in this role requires: -

  • The ability to identify and respond to risks quickly and effectively
  • Strong Stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • A commitment to delivering high quality reviews compliant with policy and procedure in a high-volume work environment.
