Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

The Assistant Project Officer undertakes a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects, in line with established project plans and objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

A temporary opportunity is available in the Commissioning Policy and Capability and Practice teams, Policy and Practice Branch, Partnerships, Strategic Policy and Commissioning.

Your priority projects will be:

  • Supporting projects lead by the teams
  • Updating content on the Commissioning Hub intranet using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). If you don’t already have experience using AEM, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with on-the-job training.
  • Using your visual presentation skills to help create user friendly and accessible web documents and templates to guide commissioning practice.

You will also assist with a variety of other tasks including:

  • arranging commissioning or contract management community of practice sessions
  • collating DCJ wide commissioning reports
  • undertaking basic research and analysis in assigned project areas.

The role has plenty of scope for innovation and implementation of fresh ideas!
The Policy and Practice Branch leads on building commissioning and contract management capability and expertise.
Commissioning Policy and Capability and Practice teams support DCJ staff in the commissioning and contracting of human services through advice, training, guidance material and policy development.
We work collaboratively with a customer service focus and aim to improve DCJ service delivery and outcomes for our clients.
