JOB OVERVIEW:

Arbors Management Inc. (Arbors Management Website) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team for a Section 8 family housing property in Export, PA. As part of the Arbors team, you will help manage day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and support both residents and our property management team. The ideal candidate will have experience in property management, particularly within the Section 8 program, and a passion for delivering excellent service to our community.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Experience with HUD/Section 8 preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively utilize computers & technology to complete daily tasks.
  • GREAT attitude! Willingness to learn & desire to grow in your career.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass criminal background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall management and operations of the Section 8 family housing property, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support leasing functions, including conducting property tours, processing rental applications, and assisting with lease signings.
  • Address tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolutions and a high standard of service.
  • Verify resident eligibility for Section 8 housing, ensuring accurate and timely documentation processing.
  • Process rent payments, late fees, and security deposits in accordance with Arbors Management’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain organized tenant files, lease agreements, and documentation as part of ongoing property management.
  • Collaborate with the Property Manager to oversee move-ins and move-outs, ensuring smooth transitions for tenants.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and overall appearance of the property, ensuring it meets Arbors Management’s community standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs, working closely with our on-site maintenance team to resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist with marketing efforts to attract and retain residents, ensuring full occupancy and fostering a positive community environment.
  • Distribute resident notices, including lease renewals, policy updates, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety codes and health regulations for the property.
