Description

iCondo Property Management located in Ottawa, ON, is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our expanding team. The Assistant Property Manager will report to senior staff and provide services to a portfolio of properties in Ottawa and surrounding area. This position is entry level with growth opportunities to become licensed Condominium Manager.
This position plays an integral role in implementing the company’s vision for the industry and providing all clients with excellent services and management expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in property, hospitality or similar management experience considered an asset. (minimum three years management experience required)
  • Experience developing and maintaining long term customer relations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • IT literate and skilled with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • College or university diploma/degree (Preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s License and vehicle (Required)
  • Assistant Property Manager: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate notices and owner/resident correspondence
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets for portfolio of properties with Property Manager
  • Monitor onsite personnel
  • Implement/monitor preventative maintenance schedules
  • Meet with vendors onsite to obtain quotes where required
  • Coordinate/assist/attend AGM, board meetings and special meetings
  • Prepare draft manager reports
  • Coordinate/assist with reserve fund studies and performance audits
  • Be primary point of contact for owner & resident inquiries
  • Perform periodic property inspections of the properties, coordinate deficiency repairs and provide status updates with respect to projects in progress
  • Match invoices to approved purchase orders and code accordingly
  • Keep on top of deadlines/commitments and pro-actively follow-up
  • Develop and maintain an effective line of communication with senior staff and provide administrative support as required
  • Work with Property Administrator to coordinate and communicate effectively
