ABOUT US:

At Centric Mental Health, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals across all age groups within Primary Care. We are seeking passionate and skilled Assistant Psychologists to join our dynamic and growing mental health team. If you have a psychology degree and experience working with qualified Psychologists in mental health, particularly in assessing ADHD and ASD in children, adolescents, and adults, we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and effective team worker with excellent analytical, assessment and therapy skills, highly motivated, organized and efficient and committed to providing the highest quality evidenced based mental health care to clients attending Centric Mental Health.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • A university degree or higher diploma/conversion course obtained with first or second class honours in which Psychology was a major subject (QQI level 8 equivalent) recognized/accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • Graduate level membership with PSI or other appropriate recognized accreditation/experience
  • Fluent English Level B2 Advanced or above required

Desirable

  • A Masters degree or post-graduate diploma in which Psychology was a major subject (QQI level 9 equivalent)
  • Comfortable using SPSS
Responsibilities

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES CAN INCLUDE:

  • Assist Psychologists in conducting assessments of individuals such as direct observation, formal psychometric testing and report writing
  • Complete training and induction relevant to the role
  • Assist Psychologists and/or Psychotherapists in conducting and managing groups
  • Assist in creation of psychoeducation and wellbeing presentations
  • Participate actively in the general development of the service
  • Assist Psychologists in completion of psychometrics and statistical analysis, auditing and service evaluation, compiling reports and presenting as required
  • Assist clinicians in process of research, literature reviews, presentations, evaluations and contributions to articles and presentations as required
  • Promote the role of psychological services through the communication/provision of relevant information to interested parties
  • Attend regular supervision
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to staff and clients of the service
  • Ensure that professional standards are maintained at all times
  • Some travel may be required to various clinics
