Description

Assistant Psychologist
We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality patient care. Under the supervision of the Private Outpatient Team Lead, you will respond to queries received via phone or email about our services in a compassionate and professional manner. Drawing on your clinical knowledge and effective questioning skills, you will assess whether our services are appropriate for the patient’s needs. Where relevant, you will triage patients and coordinate appointments with the most suitable clinician to ensure timely and appropriate treatment.

Accountabilities and Deliverables

  • To act as the responsive first point of contact to Clinical Partners’ Private Outpatient services, triaging patients and booking appointments with the correct clinician.
  • To answer questions and queries from patients, carers, and families a helpful and polite manner, always adhering to confidentiality policies.
  • Liaise with patients, families, and clinicians to supply details surrounding appointments and reports etc.
  • To maintain accurate, up to date records of all patient information including attendances, appointments, assessments, and ongoing care in Salesforce.
  • To record and report clinical governance issues including, but not limited to, incidents, complaints, data breaches and safeguarding concerns.
  • Provide cross cover for other team members to ensure a consistent and effective service is maintained at all times.
  • Monitoring of relevant email inboxes.
  • Contributing to team growth by offering shadowing opportunities to new colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Graduate degree in Psychology or a similar, relevant subject
  • Knowledge of mental health terminology
  • Relevant administrative experience
  • Clear understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality in all areas of work including phone conversations, written materials and computerized materials and processes
  • Customer service experience, particularly via telephone

Desirable

  • Experience of working for a health or social care organization
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Experience working with vulnerable people
