THE ROLE
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, efficient, effective support and assistance to the Primary Care Psychology Service including co-facilitation of large groups, providing guided self-help interventions under supervision, and assisting with service development and evaluation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO THE ROLE
The Primary Care Psychology service is a new and developing service with a Lanarkshire wide remit to provide timely evidence based psychological interventions. A main focus of the service is in delivering large group Stress Control courses in community venues across the region. The post-holder will contribute to Stress Control delivery through supporting lead presenters in equipment setup, delivering course content, administering outcome measures and engaging with attendees to answer questions about the course. Stress Control classes will largely be delivered in the evening, and so evening work will be required (up to 2 evening courses per week during peak times of year). The post-holder will also contribute to offering a remote individual guided self-help service, and so there is scope for one-to-one clinical work under supervision. Service evaluation, data analysis and small-scale research will be a key part of the role, and there will be opportunities to: contribute to service development, develop links with community partner organisations, and work to support other psychological services in Lanarkshire when required.
