JOB OBJECTIVES

We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the position of Assistant Clinical Psychologist.

This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:

  • Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
  • With the Senior Clinical Psychologist provide a range of psychological services as required including assessments, reports and recommendations, and diagnostics.
  • Promote and deliver services within the Company ethos and philosophy
  • Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing an integrated and coordinated service to our service users and contribute to the development of person-centred plans.
  • Assist with providing advice/support programmes and training for parents and families.
  • Participate actively in general development of the service.
  • Ensure that professional standards are maintained.
  • Monitor and keep up to date with developments in Psychology and early intervention, including attending training courses and participating in research and development.
  • Participate in training as required.
  • Provide support to other staff as appropriate and supervise students/volunteers as required.
  • Contribute towards the on-going development of the service as required.
  • Maintain quality standards within the service and participate in quality developments.
  • Comply with policies and procedures as advised.
  • Perform any other duties appropriate to the position from time to time.
  • Assist Senior Clinical Psychologist in regard to compiling and presenting reports as required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to staff and Individuals

QUALIFICATION:

  • Psychology Degree or equivalent
  • MSc ABA or equivalent
  • All candidates must meet the registration requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrable previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of / with people with additional and/or complex needs.

SKILLS:

  • High standard of IT literacy.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills under pressure, ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent organisational skills / self-motivated / self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and IT skills.
