Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in high-rise residential developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, procurement, and financial management for large-scale, high-rise construction projects, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards within budget and on schedule.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with significant experience working on high-rise residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement procedures, and cost management practices specific to high-rise developments.
- Experience with complex high-rise residential projects, including large-scale tower blocks or multi-storey buildings.
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to managing project challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the cost estimation and budgeting process for high-rise residential projects.
- Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and variations for high-rise developments.
- Monitor project costs and report on financial performance, including forecasts, budgets, and cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, legal regulations, and safety standards specific to high-rise construction.
- Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring cost-effective procurement and delivery.
- Identify potential risks and advise on mitigating actions to ensure projects remain on budget and are delivered on time.
- Prepare valuations, assess the value of completed work, and manage progress payments in line with project milestones.
- Assist in the selection and procurement of subcontractors and suppliers with a focus on high-rise construction expertise.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that high-rise projects are progressing according to schedule and quality standards.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management on project costs, risks, and overall financial performance.
- Collaborate with the project team to resolve any cost-related issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
