THE PERSON

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong technical skills, including estimating, cost forecasting, and reporting.
  • Experience with construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team at Space Interior Systems Ltd. Based at our Aldermaston office, this role will involve working on predominantly architectural fit-out projects on MOD sites, with occasional site visits as required.
As part of our Strategic Works Division, you’ll be instrumental in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost control, and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Conduct cost forecasting, reporting, and cost control.
  • Administer contracts and manage procurement processes, including subcontractor selection.
  • Ensure financial management principles such as cash flow analysis and forecasting are adhered to.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks during project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with construction-related legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide excellent communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
