Job Position: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Basic Salary: - $3,000 - $5,000 Working Area: - 47 Pandan Loop, Singapore 128263 Working Hours: - 5.5 working days per week - Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 5.00pm - Saturday: 8.00am – 12.00pm Job Description: - Evaluate tenders and quotations. - Carry out quantity take-off for project tendering. - Source and review costs from trade suppliers and subcontractors. - Prepare preliminary design proposals for design and build projects. - Prepare cost comparisons for management approval. - Perform other quantity surveying related tasks as assigned. - Produce AutoCAD drawings. - Read and interpret M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) drawings. - Review technical standards, specifications, datasheets, calculations, and drawings. - Support and provide mechanical engineering design. - Handle design works and/or project management relevant to ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation). - Provide technical assistance to engineers. - Advise engineers on project administration and contractual issues. - Perform basic calculations for ACMV design. - Conduct design calculations, duct sizing, heat load calculations, cost estimation, and preparation of plans and detailed engineering designs. - Implement cost control measures. Requirements: - Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or equivalent. - Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and subcontractors. - Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD. - 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the construction field.
