ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR REQUIRED

Kingfisher Developments (Wales) Ltd are a long-established Main Contractor whose main discipline is refurbishment and new build Social Housing. Our area of operation is predominantly South Wales and we have a secured workload for 2025/26 including housing developments in the Vale of Glamorgan.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of social housing (new build & refurbishment).
  • Two years QS experience required and able to work in a busy work environment.
  • Relevant HNC, Diploma, degree or equivalent in Construction or related discipline.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • High level of literacy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet set budgets and deadlines.
  • The ability to read and understand architectural & mechanical / electrical drawings & specifications.
  • The ability to attend meetings with the Client and design teams.
  • Self motivation & drive.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Send out subcontractor enquiries.
  • Assist with the financial control over assigned contracts.
  • Manage & deliver procurement of key sub-contractors & suppliers.
  • Submission of variations, valuations and final accounts.
  • Monitor & sign off subcontractor accounts (pinks).
  • Participate in tendering processes.
  • Maintain accurate & organised documentation in relation to aspects of involvement.
  • Report variations, issues & progress against targets.
  • Conduct post project cost analysis, develop and implement lessons learnt into future ventures.
  • Consider quality, health & safety & environmental impact in all decisions.
  • Maintain accurate filing..
  • Produce monthly Directors reports for the board.
  • Ensure meeting documents are sent prior to meetings and minutes are actioned.
  • Supply chain engagement & investment in new subcontractors.
